We are excited to share several new features, updates, and improvements to the Gondola platform and website.

🚨 New Feature: Recommended Products 🚨

By popular demand, a "Recommended Products" section has been created for Product Pages to display related products from the same category. When enabled, the bottom of the product page will contain a new section which displays other products associated with the same category. If no category is selected or there are no related products, random product cards will be shown.

The section can be turned on or off for each Product page and the heading is customizable. Enable this feature for your product pages to cross-sell related products! To learn more about this new feature or for more details on how to enable it, check out our latest how-to article here: 

🚨 New Feature: Reviews on Product Pages 🚨

For some time Gondola has pulled reviews from the most popular review sources in the industry to show on your website. We recently took this feature to the next level by associating (and displaying) reviews on specific product pages.

This not only increases the conversion and “trust” associated with that product, but is also structured such that Google will pick it up and display the rating and number of reviews in a search result that shows that product page.

Today, we’re taking this feature yet another step farther with a host of review-oriented updates across the site. We’re adding your total review count to relevant sections on the home page to further highlight your credibility. When you’ve added reviews to a specific product, the total number of reviews along with their average will show up everywhere that product’s card is displayed.

Finally, the product pages themselves have been updated, with numerous instances of highlighting your review score & count, all with the goal of inspiring further trust and driving more sales. To learn more about how to add reviews to your product pages, visit this how-to article: 

📈 Platform and Website Updates 📈

1. Who We Are Section
This section on the homepage now supports more options. While this section was previously constrained to just 4 images, you can now add 5, 6, 10, or more images to the component. This component was also recently updated by optimizing the images to improve your website’s page loading speed.

2. Why Choose Us Section
This section on the homepage has also been updated to support additional, or fewer items. Want to highlight more than 3 things in this section? Now you can! 3. Product Category Pages
Category pages have also received some touch ups which will improve their format, particularly when not all  potential components are utilized. This update prevents non-utilized components from showing up, as well as removes the margins around these empty components. The end result is a cleaner, more compact page for your visitors.
